In The Spotlight : Nina Morgenstern

Nina Morgenstern shares her time, energy and interests with children and adults. As an RSVP America Reads volunteer, Nina works with Penn Wynne Elementary School children needing support and encouragement to strengthen language and reading skills.

At the end of one school year the principal wrote; “As an America Reads volunteer, you have given the boys the kind of one-on-one time that nurtures their reading skills, their confidence, and their love of reading. As third and fourth graders, the opportunity has been one they have really benefited from as they mature as students. I know how much they looked forward to their time with you. We appreciate your dependability and interest in our young students and hope that you will continue to be a part of our Penn Wynne community.”

In addition to her skills working with children, Nina has the ability to switch gears to work with adults. Nina has helped students from Korea, Ethiopia, Japan, Thailand, and Brazil at the Harcum College Educational Language Academy strengthen the language skills needed each needs for success in the classroom and the community.

REDI (Ramsey Educational Development Institute of Norristown) has matched Nina with adults working towards their GED.  Although dedicated to child and adult literacy, Nina still finds the time to help the RSVP Main Line Project Group with mailings and fund raising activities.

Thank you Nina, for all you do for RSVP of Montgomery County and the communities we serve!
