RSVP Celebrates 35th Anniversary with Volunteer Luncheon and Awards Ceremony

On May 14, RSVP of Montgomery County celebrated 35 years of providing dedicated and trained volunteers to the community.

During the luncheon at the Westover Country Club, several awards were given in recognition of extraordinary commitment and dedication. William Walsh, Esq, received the Top Hat Award for his long-term devotion to raising funds and awareness for RSVP. Donald Neiman was honored with the Ambassador Award for his unwavering commitment to promoting volunteerism through RSVP. The Philadelphia Foundation was recognized with The Innovative Funder Award for their empowering method of funding nonprofits with R. Andrew Swinney accepting the award.

Each year, a volunteer-of-the-year is selected from each of RSVP’s five field offices for their significant contributions to their communities. This year, Rosean Stead – Central; Lorraine Cannon – Eastern; Catherine (Kitty) Forrest – Western; John & Dorothy Oppenlander – North Penn and Darwin Kingsley, III – Main Line were named as RSVP volunteers-of-the-year in recognition of their ongoing and unwavering commitment to volunteering.
